There seems to be some confusion in regards to the start of the DSTV Men Nigerian basketball league, various reports reaching us have stated that the league has been postponed due to four teams Yelwa Hawks, Niger Potters, Police Baton and Royal Hoopers not completing their team registration by the deadline, additionally, it has also been reported that funding for the league is still yet to be confirmed by the Organizers,  it is hoped that these issues will be rectified very shortly for the league to commence. TNB will continue to update fans with any new development.

In other news, in a bid to promote and develop the game of basketball in Nigeria, Sports Radio, Brila FM has reached an agreement with the Nigerian Basketball Federation to act as official partners for the Organisation. In a ceremony held in Abuja to launch the new development, NBBF President, Tijani Umar told reports that “this event is momentous as Brila FM remains the only platform that can help project and promote basketball in Nigeria with the partnership bound to serve as catalyst to the growth of basketball in Nigeria.” Speaking on behalf of Brila FM, CEO Dr. Larry Izamoje was quoted as saying  “we have again proven our commitment to the all-round growth of sports in Nigeria, this is another leap and we again reassure sports fans, home and abroad that, as a truly global brand, we remain committed to robust delivery and continually-enriched content in our bid to consolidate our leadership position in the business of sports casting.” Brila FM is Nigeria’s and Africa’s first ever sports radio station and they reach a world-wide audience.
